P. Lion, whose real name is Pietro Paolo Pelandi, became a star almost by accident thanks to his hits "Happy Children" and "Dream."
He released two albums, "Springtime" and "A Step in the Right Way," while also pursuing a career as a producer.
P. Lion's real name is Pietro Paolo Pelandi.
He chose the stage name P. Lion as a reference to the three "P"s in his name and his astrological sign, Leo. He learned to play the piano at a young age and began writing his own music.
He rose to fame in the 1980s, notably with the song "Happy Children." His success continued with his second single, "Dream," which was known in France for being the theme song for the TV show "Top 50" between 1984 and 1993.
Following his unexpected success, P. Lion released his first album, "Springtime," which included his early hits as well as the track "Reggae Radio."
